Bear Creek Hunt Club was established in 1999 and was created specifically to offer a hunting experience unlike what was available at other preserves. It took us a number of seasons to establish the habitat and cover we wanted to make the upland paradise we envisioned. But today we are proud to say no one can offer you a better hunting experience than we can. The reason we can say that is: Unlike a lot of preserves that lease their land and are unable to manage it for the best habitat, we own our land and have a specific habitat plan in place to improve our cover every year for the wildlife. This gives us a huge advantage over other preserves that are "stuck" with whatever cover the farmer left behind. Every year we plant numerous food plots for winter cover and food for the birds. Each spring we burn select sections of our Native grasslands to allow it to grow tall and strong making for the best winter cover available. Every 3-5 years we rotationally mow and or disc our grasslands to breakup the sod and allow the native forbes to grow and create cover and brood rearing areas which in turn make great fall hunting spots. In short, we provide the ideal habitat structure that allows our guest to hunt from early fall, through the heart of the winter and right through early spring and never "run out" of cover to explore!
